About JulieAnn
JulieAnn has a healing and bodywork practice of 25 years and is a Reiki practitioner and Akashic record reader. She brings a wide and varied toolbox to her classes, her building of curriculum, and to her one-on-one healing and coaching work.
JulieAnn graduated from Illinois State University with a dual degree in Dance Performance and Teaching. She is also a certified and licensed massage therapist and Reiki practitioner running her own bodywork practice for 25 years. JulieAnn is a certified Akashic Record Reader and Yoga Instructor.
Her yoga classes are truly unique as they are traditional in some ways, but also include aspects of her somatic teaching practice. These include Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais and Bartenieff Fundamentals exercises. Meditation, mindfulness and targeted breath work infuse her teachings.
She creates custom programs for individuals or groups, and also develops corporate wellness programs and curriculums for higher education institutions.
JulieAnn Graham has been dancing and performing in Chicago for decades. She has danced for Asimina Chremos, Julia Mayer, Jessica Marasa, The Seldoms, Synapse Arts, Erica Mott, and many others.
She is an improvising dancer. Her most recent work, The Interpreters, was produced at Hamlin Park and brings the performer’s experience of the improvisation intimately "to the table" through improvised movement and text.

Her current long term project, with her collaborator Adriana Durant, is Monkey Mind. This piece is part playful lecture, part performance, and dives deep into our brains, cognition, recall and presence. Monkey Mind was a finalist for the 2020 Chicago Dancemakers Forum 2020 Grant.
She seeks opportunities to perform (Monkey Mind or other improvisational performances) and to create work for companies/art schools and curriculum for educational institutions.
